Foam Inserts For Hinged Lid Plastic Containers

When you are dealing with extremely fragile items like camera lenses, dental and medical equipment or rare and expensive items that you don’t want scratched or damaged; regular packaging is just not going to cut it. You need that extra protection to ensure your items are as safe as they can be inside the plastic container. This is why LAContainer proudly offers foam inserts for most of our hinged lid plastic containers.

Our foam inserts are available in two different color options. These include either the gray soft foam or the white hard foam. As you would guess by the names the two foams differ in that the white foam is firmer than the gray, but the differences don’t stop there!

Let’s start with the gray foam. This open celled polyurethane foam is made in the USA and is REACH, RoHS and FDA compliant and is even recyclable! This option of our foam is available in a round shape in 6 different sizes ranging from about ¾ of an inch to 2¼-inch diameter with a thickness of ¼ of an inch.

Thanks to our precision sizing, all of the circular foam inserts are designed to perfectly fit in the corresponding Lacons®, round hinged lid containers. We have made ordering as easy as possible by making the first two numbers of our Lacons® part numbers match the corresponding part number for our foam. An example of this would be the 12SF/HF fits in all Lacons® that start with the number 12, like the 120600.

Along with this, we also offer square foam in the soft gray option. This square foam has the exact same characteristics as our circular foam but is cut to fit select sizes of our square Flex-A-Top Containers. The square foam is available in 7 different sizes ranging in length from 1.13 inches to 4.15 inches with a thickness of ¼ of an inch.

All of our gray foam has a density of 1.35-1.4 PCF and are also available in a half inch, double thick option in select sizes through special order. Additionally, The soft gray foam is great for use with sensitive medial and dental equipment, amongst many other items.

The last option for our foam is the hard white polyethylene foam. This hard foam is only available in the round option and comes in the exact same sizes as the soft gray foam. The white foam is also REACH, RoHS and FDA complaint and recyclable.

While the white foam does come in the same 6 sizes with the same ¼ of and inch thickness as the gray foam, these two options differ in density. The white foam has a much firmer density of 2.0 PCF. Additionally, this hard white foam is great for uses in industrial or hardware industries where the items need a firmer protection.

Along with these three options, we also offer custom foam pieces for some orders. These include pink antistatic foam and self-adhesive foam amongst many other options.
