When working in an ESD environment, having the correct equipment is of the upmost importance. Unfortunately, with most ESD protective containers only available as an open-top bin your items really aren\u2019t as safe as they could be. Seeing the need in this industry, LABoxx<\/a> hinged lid ESD protective containers look to change the game for your electro sensitive environment!<\/p>\n

\"IMG_3812EDIT\"<\/a>Our LABoxx plastic box containers<\/a> are made out of a rigid and sturdy ABS material. ABS, or Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, is a common thermoplastic polymer that is made by polymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile in the presence of poly-butadiene. This combination makes this plastic much stronger than other similar plastic but does not help in pronunciation.<\/p>\n

Alone this material doesn\u2019t help in an ESD environment. This is why for the LABoxx<\/a> line we use either black conductive or blue static dissipative polypropylene. This combination creates a very solid, sturdy and rigid ESD plastic. This material is REACH and RoHS compliant and is a permanent anti-static material. This means the anti-static component will not leach out over time, making these containers reusable and great for long-term storage.<\/p>\n

As previously mentioned, we offer two different ESD options for the LABoxx line<\/a>. The ABS-CAS<\/a> LABoxx containers<\/a> have a surface resistivity between 103<\/sup> to 106<\/sup> ohms per square and have a static decay rate from 5KiloVolts to 50 Volts within 200 nanoseconds. These opaque black containers are great for the protection of your products in explosive environments or other conductive settings, requiring a non-metal conductive container.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_3839EDIT\"<\/a>The second option is the ABS-BAS Containers<\/a>. These containers have a surface resistivity of 108<\/sup> to 1010 <\/sup>ohms per square and have a static decay rate from 5 KiloVolts to 50 Volts in 200 nanoseconds. Additionally these transparent blue containers are great for storing small electrical parts and circuit boards that are static sensitive.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_3843EDIT\"<\/a>What really sets our LABoxx ESD containers<\/a> apart from the rest is their unique hinged lid design. While most other ESD packaging options are only offered in an open-top configuration, our containers come with an attached lid to give our customers greater protection from spills and air born contaminates and are stackable for optimal, long term, organization.<\/p>\n
