Whether you are a professional handyman or someone who needs to hang up some pictures around the house, you know that trying to keep your tools and hardware supplies organized is a very difficult task. Regardless of how many tools you have and how hard you try to stay organized you still end up with a thick layer of nails, screws, nuts and bolts that line the bottom of your tool drawer. Unfortunately just like many of you we know this pain far to well and feel like Tim “the tool man” Taylor himself has called upon us to come up with a solution. In this blog we are going to show you how to organize you tool area in the only way we know how, with small plastic containers.
Let’s dive right in! First off from our LAVials container line, we have our VL80L hinged lid plastic container. Made in the USA, this cylindrical plastic container is perfect for holding nails and screws so they are easily accessible.
Other great containers from this product line are the VL40L and VL20L small plastic containers. These two hinged lid containers are slightly shorter than the VL80L, which makes them perfect for storing nuts, bolts, washers or any other small hardware materials that are so easily misplaced.
The next containers that we are going to take a look at are the Flex-A-Top square plastic containers. These box shaped containers come in many different sizes and lengths making them the perfect fit for any loose allen wrench’s, small screwdrivers, drill bits or any other smaller tool parts that get thrown in the bottom of a drawer. The FT-23, FT-40 and the FT-123 are great sizes to store the items mentioned about above, however with over 15 different sizes there are a variety of different options to suit your specific needs.
What’s great about storing your hardware in small plastic containers is that when closed spilling is impossible, which reduces the chances of your tool area getting unorganized. Another great aspect of these hinged lid containers is that if you need to do a job away from your work station you can securely close the plastic lid and take it with you for easy transportation.
