Finding containers that can safely store electronic or medical items like tissue samples, sensitive electronic components and pyrotechnics samples is often times a very difficult task. You need to be sure that your items will be safe in a container that will not leach out harmful chemicals and ruin your products. This is why we here at LA Container created the Polyvials™ container line. These come in so many different materials and sizes it is almost guaranteed you will find the perfect plastic lab container!
Let’s start with the plastic. These containers can be made in either polypropylene or polyethylene plastic and each come with their own sub categories.
The clear polypropylene vials are made with the highest quality medical and lab grade polypropylene that is BPA free, lead free and are REACH, RoHS and FDA compliant and will meet safety regulations for leach free containers.
Along with this, our lab grade containers are manufactured following strict American and European governmental and industrial regulations. With our high quality plastic and manufacturing standards we ensure that our customers can trust that what is going in their plastic lab packaging is as safe as it can be, while also being cost effective.
The polypropylene option is also available in ESD materials. These include the blue static dissipative and black conductive material, which restrict the flow of electricity from you to the contents of the container.
Our ESD inhibiting, blue anti static (BAS) material has a surface resistivity of 108-1010 ohms per square and has a static decay rate of 5 kilovolts to 50 volts in 200 nanoseconds. While the black conductive anti static (CAS) plastic has a static decay rate of 103-106 ohms per square and has a static decay rate of 5 kilovolts to 50 volts in 200 nanoseconds as well.
Our BAS material is great for protecting small, sensitive electronic components and circuit boards while the CAS containers are great for protecting explosives like gunpowder.
Our polyethylene lab grade vials are a little different. Besides the type of plastic being used these containers come in two different styles. These include the standard lab grade polyethylene option and a neutron activation analysis option. The NAA option is only available in two sizes and is specifically manufactured for the neutron activation analysis industry. This is because they have thicker walls than the standard lab grade vials.
Aside from the NAA option, the Polyvials™ hinged lid plastic containers come in 16 different sizes with diameters ranging from under ¼ inch to over 1½ inches wide and are available in a clear color.
Lastly the Polyvials™ line is proudly made in the USA with 100% recyclable plastic and as always we recommend testing our containers with your products before purchasing to ensure compatibility and free samples may be requested through our website!
