Since childhood, we are told to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Over and over, it is engrained in our minds to be an environmentally conscious person and to be the caretakers of the world we live in. Today, there are so many people aware of the dangers of hurting the environment and a numerous amount of scientists, politicians, and businesses that want to give their best effort in reducing environmental damage. Eco warriors driving their fleet of electric cars and people who try to live holistically are spreading the news that taking care of the earth is cool. That it is our duty. But just because there are certain people so dedicated to saving the planet, doesn’t mean that you can’t do your vital part too.
Here at LA Container, we try our best to take care of our world.
From the start of production we use high-grade polypropylene plastic. Our plastic resins are all REACH and RoHS compliant, which means that our plastics don’t contain toxins or heavy metals. During manufacturing, we use a closed loop water chiller system to prevent unnecessary water consumption. We want to do our best to conserve water and keep water clean. Manufacturing also causes some bits and parts of plastic to be used to connect the containers while they are being made, making them useless in the end. We take these pieces to our regrind room, which allows people to reuse them so they have a purpose. We send our reground polypropylene plastic to local scrap plastic manufacturers so it can be used for things such as benches and other plastic needs. After our containers are made. We try our best to reuse materials, recycle scraps, and reduce consumption.
What can you do to help make the world a better place?
While one person can make a small but important difference it takes the world to create a change. We have been blessed with life. The chances of living on this planet are astronomical. There is one place we call home. There is one place we are able to live. Even though there are those who are looking to the stars for a new home, it may take our entire lifetimes until we are able to reach them. It is our responsibility to take care of this beautiful place so the future can experience it too. There are so many amazing wonders the Earth has to offer. There are mountains, valleys, oceans, rivers, waterfalls, flowers, animals, and so many wonderful things. We need to guarantee the future a chance to exist and to explore this world and the ones we may discover.
So, take a look at your life. What can you do to take care of the world? What power do you have to make the world cleaner, safer, and a better place to live? Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. If you see trash, pick it up. Take shorter showers. Eat ethically sourced food. Love your neighbors. And remember to reuse and recycle our hinged-lid plastic containers. Be a good steward to the life you’ve been given. It is the only life you will get. On this Earth Day, tell those around you to be thankful for this world. Let others know that you care and that you want them to care too.
